Systems Department

Systems Department manages library IT Systems, Services and Online access to resources.

The Library Systems Department supports information technology used throughout the KFUPM Libraries, both by library staff and library patrons. Also, supports 24/7 operation of the KFUPM Library technology services and systems, including Integrated Library Systems (Sierra), SmartSearch and online services, authentication systems, and connectivity.

The department manages the library's website and access to the library's collection of electronic resources, including databases, electronic journals, and digital collections.

In addition, the department’s staff maintain and support a large suite of servers, including Web servers; staff application and file servers; digital data storage servers; the library's integrated library system used for the library catalog.​​

Regular support hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday through Thursday.

Systems offices are located in Building-8, Main Library, 2nd floor​​.
